Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child.

Our Year 6 students are excited to launch a special project as part of their efforts to give back to the community this holiday season. As we reflect on the spirit of Thanksgiving and Christmas, we are inspired by the verse from Philippians 2:4: “Let each of you look not only to your own interests but also to the interests of others”

With this in mind, our students will be participating in the Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child. This initiative is an incredible way to bring joy and hope to children in need, and we are thrilled to involve our school community in this project. Our goal is to help spread some holiday cheer by filling shoeboxes with thoughtful gifts that will brighten a child's day and bring a smile to their face.

We would love for you to join us in making this a success! Our Year 6 students have already begun to share information about the project with the other classes, and we are now reaching out to all parents with additional details to make it as easy as possible for you to participate.

Here’s how it works: Each shoebox will be filled with gifts for either a boy or a girl, in one of the following age groups: (Shoe boxes will be provided)

  • 2-4 years old
  • 5-9 years old
  • 10-14 years old

Suggested Items to Include: To make each box special, we encourage you to include a mix of the following:

  • WOW” item: A small soccer ball with pump, a doll, a stuffed animal, or shoes.
  • Toys: A toy car, jump rope, yo-yo, musical instrument, or a toy that lights up or makes noise (please include extra batteries if needed).
  • Personal Care Items: Toothbrush, washcloths, combs, or hairbrushes.
  • School Supplies: Pencils, pens, sharpeners, crayons, markers, notebooks, or coloring books.
  • Accessories: Socks, sunglasses, jewelry, watches, or flashlights (with batteries).

Please Do Not Include: To ensure the safety and appropriateness of the gifts, we ask that you avoid including:

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.

Together, we can make this a memorable and meaningful holiday season for others.
