We are thrilled to announce that our Middle Years Programme (MYP) was authorized as part of the International Baccalaureate (IB)! We join the nearly 2,000 schools worldwide offering the MYP.
The MYP is a comprehensive educational framework designed for students aged 11 to 16, which emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, and global awareness. One of the most significant benefits of the MYP is its interdisciplinary approach to learning. Students are encouraged to make connections between different subjects and apply their knowledge to real-world situations. This approach not only helps students develop a deeper understanding of the material but also prepares them for the complex challenges they will face in the future.
Another unique aspect of the MYP is its focus on global citizenship. Students are taught to appreciate and respect different cultures, languages, and perspectives. This emphasis on diversity and inclusivity helps students become more empathetic and open-minded individuals, which is essential in today's interconnected world.
The MYP also places a strong emphasis on community service and encourages students to take an active role in making a positive impact on their local and global communities. This focus on service learning helps students develop a sense of responsibility and empathy towards others, which is a valuable life skill.
One of the most challenging aspects of the MYP is the Personal Project, which is a year-long independent research project that allows students to explore their interests and passions. This project requires students to use critical thinking, research, and communication skills to create a product or service that addresses a real-world problem. The Personal Project is an excellent opportunity for students to develop their creativity, independence, and self-motivation.
The MYP is recognized by universities and colleges around the world for its excellence. We are proud to offer both the MYP and PYP to our students from Preschool to 8th Grade.
