Discover how our dress code fosters a respectful and unified learning environment while reflecting our core values.
The Importance of a Unified Dress Code
At Creation Village World School, we believe that the way we present ourselves reflects the glory of God. Our dress code is more than just a set of rules; it is a silent language of personal appearance that projects an image of unity. It plays an integral role in expressing our school's purpose to our team, students, parents, visitors, and most importantly, our Creator.
By maintaining a consistent dress code, students represent the school to their peers, parents, and members of this and other communities. This unified appearance is essential in fostering a sense of belonging and respect for God, ourselves, and others.
Guidelines for Daily Attire
Students are required to dress according to the school's standard from campus arrival to departure. Each student is responsible for dressing and grooming appropriately. Our daily uniform guidelines are as follows:
For young men, uniform shirts in navy, white, or sky blue polos or poly-wicking navy polo with the CVWS logo on the chest are required. These must be tucked in, and undershirts must be plain white or matching in color. Long sleeve shirts are not allowed under or over shirts. Uniform shorts in navy or gray should end at the knee, and slacks should be navy or gray. Belts, if worn, should be solid in material and color: blue, black, or white. Shoes should be athletic type, closed heel and toes, non-marking soles, and must-have shoelaces. Socks should be a matching pair in solid blue, black, or white. Only approved CVWS outerwear with the logo is permitted.

These must be tucked in, and undergarments should not be visible. Undershirts must be plain white or matching in color. Long sleeve shirts are not allowed under or over shirts. Uniform shorts in navy or gray should be Bermuda style and end at the knee. Slacks should be navy or gray, and skirts in navy, gray, or CVWS plaid should reach the knee. If the skirt does not reach the knees, black or navy leggings must be worn. Belts, if worn, should be solid in material and color: blue, black, or white. Shoes should be athletic type, closed heel and toes, non-marking soles, and must-have shoelaces. Socks should be a matching pair in solid blue, black, or white. Special Events and Dress Expectations
For special events and activities such as chapel and field trips, students are expected to adhere to a dress uniform.
Young men should wear a uniform navy blazer with the CVWS logo on the chest, a uniform white dress shirt with a plain white undershirt, uniform navy or gray dress pants or shorts, a uniform dress tie, a black or blue belt, black dress shoes, and navy full-length dress socks.
Young women should wear a uniform navy cardigan with the CVWS logo, a uniform white dress shirt, uniform navy or gray dress pants or a skirt, a black or blue belt, black dress shoes, and navy full-length dress socks.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
Students who are inappropriately dressed or groomed will be referred to the Dean of Programme or Head of School, who makes the final decisions on dress code matters.
Adhering to the dress code is essential for maintaining the respectful and unified learning environment we strive for at Creation Village World School. Non-compliance with the dress code can disrupt this environment and may result in disciplinary actions.
Promoting Self-Respect and Community Values
Our dress code is designed to promote self-respect and community values. By dressing according to our standards, students learn to take pride in their appearance, which in turn fosters a sense of self-respect.
Furthermore, a unified dress code helps to create a cohesive community where everyone feels a sense of belonging. This sense of unity is based on mutual respect for God, ourselves, and others, in line with the teachings of 1 Corinthians 10:31: 'Whatever you do, do all for the glory of God.'
